Dai Bin, a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the president of the China Tourism Academy submitted two proposals for further promoting the development of the tourism market, which suggested on how to speed up the recovery of inbound tourism, promote domestic tourism consumption and industrial revitalization
Dai Bin pointed out that China's tourism industry, which emerged with the reform and opening up, was initially oriented towards developing inbound tourism. However, due to the impact of the epidemic, the inbound market has been basically stagnant for the past three years.
Dai Bin proposed further optimizing visa policies and customs clearance measures, relaxing transit restrictions, and providing more convenience for foreign tourists visiting China. He suggested further promoting online visa facilitation, improving the coverage rate of electronic visas and the efficiency of visa platform applications, simplifying visa procedures and customs clearance procedures for overseas tourists entering the country. He also proposed further increasing the number of visa-free areas and extending stay periods for foreign tourists, allowing visa-free tourists to enter from one place and exit from another.
