CHENNAI, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Finland's Salcomp, a supplier to Apple, plans to double its workforce in India to 25,000 over the next three years, targeting annual revenue in the country of at least $2 billion to $3 billion by 2025, a top company executive said on Monday.

NEW DELHI: Data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) on Monday showed retail inflation, as measured by the consumer price index, rose an annual 6.5% in January, higher than December's 5.7% and above the 6% recorded in January last year.

The food price index rose nearly 6% in January, higher than the 4.2% in December. Rural inflation outpaced urban inflation rising 6.9%. Urban inflation was at 6%.

Single-aisle jets like the 737 Max will dominate, accounting for 1,983 — or 90% — of deliveries, with the remaining 227 set to be widebodies, Boeing said in its latest outlook on the Indian market.

Mumbai: Japan's payments company JCB International is expanding its India business to take on global rivals Mastercard and Visa. The company has plans to expand its user base to 30 million in the next five years.

The company has also announced the issuance of one million RuPay JCB Cards in India. These credit and debit cards, issued by 12 public and private sector banks and co-badged as RuPay JCB Cards, offer their members a seamless payment experience within and outside India.
